Since there's ACC basketball all day, I was really bummed that I would have to work today. Until I heard they were having ACC day here. So of course I had to come and represent UNC and partake in the free Bojangles for breakfast, pizza, wings and sweet tea from Italian Pie, and watch the games on our sweet big screen tvs. All this was put on by Capstone Production Group. I was bored before lunch so I checked out their web site, to see what kind of stuff they do.
I quickly realized I liked them because of this quote. "Whoever said 'A picture is worth a thousand words' was on crack"! So simple, yet so powerful. Pictures aren't everything. With a decent digital camera, any moron can take good pictures. Words are what separates the kings from the masses, the persuasion artists from the bullied, the Carolina fans from the State fans...ok maybe I'm taking this a little too far.
It's still a good quote, which for them serves the purpose of reminding people that sound in commercials is just as important as visuals. Sound can make or break commercials, and lack of sound can also draw attention-- as with the Cadillac ads from the Super Bowl a year or two ago.
That is all I wanted to say. This time tomorrow I'll be in Aspen for a couple days of snowboarding.
